O trabalho ainda visa discutir a crescente utilização deste instituto como ferramenta estratégica em matéria de persecução criminal, à luz da legislação brasileira vigente, e demonstrar alguns casos concretos e eficazes ao objetivo que se propõe. Para tanto, foi utilizada a pesquisa bibliográfica realizada em livros, artigos e reportagens, bem como pesquisa descritiva, com análise e correlação de fatos concretos.This scientific article seeks to analyze, in a brief and objective way, the international cooperation according to the principles of the theoretical schools of liberalism and realism, inside the chair of International Relations, as well to correlate it with the thought and historical moment of these theories‟ development. The paper also aims to discuss the growing use of this institute as a strategic tool in the field of criminal prosecution, in light of current Brazilian Legislation, and to demonstrate some concrete and effective cases to the objective that is proposed.
