Análise Teórica da Viabilidade do Ponto de Vista Técnico da Implementação de um Sistema de Cogeração Utilizando como Combustível o Biogás
Abstract
At this term paper, a theorical analysis of the implementation of an electricity and refrigeration
cogeneration system, using a gas micro turbine, an absorption refrigeration system and using
biogas as fuel, from a thermodynamics point of view was made. For that, a bibliographic review
about the thematic was made, the schematics of the proposal were defined, the mass and energy
balances to obtain the system equations were done, the input variables were defined and lastly
the simulation of the system was realized. The system was calculated for an electric power
output of 100 kW, being that the refrigeration power output obtained using the exhaust gases
was of 37,49 kW. The electrical efficiency presented by the micro turbine was of 25,84%, the
COP of the refrigeration system obtained was of 0,8079 and the utilization factor of the
cogeneration system obtained was of 45,85%. After the results were obtained, an analysis about
the crystallization of the LiBr-H 2 O solution was made, and it was observed that operating in
the adopted conditions there would be no risk of a salt crystallization in the system. In addition,
the influence of the regenerators was verified: for the gas micro turbine and the refrigeration
system the increase of the efficiency and the COP, respectively, was about 10% with the
adoption of the regenerator.
