El presente artículo se objetiva analizar las políticas de zonificación y vivienda implantadas en las ciudades estadounidenses a partir de los 30's, que dando seguimiento a una cultura de segregación y de marginalización de las comunidades étnicas y racializadas han sufrido y continúan sufriendo riesgos medioambientales, falta de inversión pública, una homogenización forzada y preconceptos sobre sus habitantes. Por tanto, se propone realizar una lectura crítica de los dos actos legislativos de vivienda que han guiado los procesos de zonificación y financiación de habitación (NHA 1934 y FAH 1968), así como una posible lectura de las implicaciones actuales de dicha segregación por rangos (o colores) en las zonas y comunidades vulnerabilizadas por tales políticas.
The objective of this article is to analyze the zoning and housing policies implemented in Americans cities since the 30s, which, following up on a culture of segregation and marginalization where ethnic and racialized communities suffered and continue to suffer, environmental risk, lack of public investment, forced homogenization and preconceptions about its inhabitants. Therefore, it is proposed to carry out a critical reading of the two housing acts that have guided the process zoning and financiering of housing (NHA 1934 and FAH 1968); as well as a possible reading of the current implications of said segregation by ranges (or colors, in zones and communities that are vulnerable to such policies, which are mostly racialized, reflecting the perpetuation of institutional and urban racism that sits in the territories impacted by capitalism
