Arquitectura y Urbanismo para usuarios acometidos por enfermedades neurocognitivas propias de la tercera edad en Arequipa- Perú

Abstract

Las crecientes cifras de la cantidad de adultos mayores afectados por enfermedades neurocognitivas, dan una clara idea de nuevas formas de pensar el espacio construido y por construir, considerando la disminución de las capacidades motoras y cognitivas del ser humano. Es por este motivo que una infraestrutura acompañada de politicas publicas, se convierten en una demanda en salud y accesibilidad en las ciudades de America Latina, especificamente en la ciudad de Arequipa- Perú, donde diversos factores, (topografia, cultura, sociedad, población, historia) han dado origen a una ciudad donde la prioridad no es el peatón, mucho menos el adulto mayor. En este contexto, el presente trabajo, busca contribuir a la comunidad academica a orientar el esfuerzo intelectual a favor de las sectores más vulnerables, busca tambien apelar a la sensibilidad humana, ante una situación de extrema segregación.

Illnesses due to neurocognitive disorders occur more frequently in adults over 65 years of age than in the world, growing numbers and global estimates show this, and they show that the probability of acquiring these diseases is higher in developing countries development. The deficit in urban and architectural infrastructure that serves an age group over 65 is notorious in the city of Arequipa- Peru, even more so when it is a disease that makes this age group more vulnerable. For these and other demands, this work will seek to carry out a survey of data and information that will support the future architectural proposal to care for the elderly affected by neurocognitive diseases. I consider it necessary that the north of this work be inclusive, without which it would be reinforcing the segregation of the third age currently present in the city of Arequipa. Parallel to the development of the topic of neurocognitive disorders, the present work addresses the analysis of architectural and urban references relevant to the projective proposal, especially to know in depth, the different parties that other projects propose in different scenarios, but with similar objectives.
