O uso, abuso e dependência de substâncias psicoativas estão cada vez mais presentes na sociedade. Atualmente a dependência química é considerada uma doença crônica, progressiva e fatal, que afeta as esferas biológicas, psicológicas e sociais do indivíduo, também acometendo consequências negativas aos que estão à sua volta. No Brasil há distintas formas de tratamento visando à recuperação do dependente. Este estudo tem o intuito de estudar o tratamento da Comunidade Terapêutica que ocorre em um ambiente residencial, com enfoque na convivência entre os pares. Durante todo o processo de acolhimento ocorre a interação entre todos os envolvidos da Comunidade Terapêutica, e por meio das práticas sociais acontecem às relações de poder, portanto, essa pesquisa busca analisar os processos da relação de poder na convivência dos acolhidos em uma Comunidade Terapêutica situada em Medianeira-PR. Através dos objetivos específicos, busca-se verificar se as relações de poder entre os acolhidos de uma Comunidade Terapêutica interferem no tratamento, bem como avaliar se o protocolo da Comunidade propicia a participação e a cooperação entre eles. Para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa utiliza-se a observação participante, pesquisa bibliográfica e pesquisa documental através dos registros dos relatórios da Instituição e das atas de reuniões. Através desta pesquisa podemos compreender que o poder está presente durante todo o processo de tratamento de uma Comunidade Terapêutica, sendo ele fundamental para a organização de forma geral da Instituição, na disciplina dos acolhidos, na partilha de experiências através dos diálogos. O poder colabora também na busca de autonomia sobre si mesmo, proporcionando mudanças no estilo de vida do dependente químico. Para que seja possível desenvolver todo este trabalho, a comunidade possui seu protocolo voltado à participação visando à reeducação disciplinar.

Currently, chemical dependency is considered a chronic, progressive and fatal disease that affects the biological, psychological and social spheres of the individual, also affecting negative consequences to those around them. In Brazil there are different forms of treatment aimed at recovering the dependent. This study intends to study the treatment of the Therapeutic Community that occurs in a residential environment, focusing on the coexistence between the peers. Throughout the reception process, the interpersonal relationship occurs between all those involved in the Therapeutic Community, and through social practices they happen to power relations, therefore, this research seeks to analyze the processes of the power relationship in the coexistence of the Hosts in a Therapeutic Community located in Medianeira-PR. Through the specific objectives, it is sought to verify if the relations of power between the hostages of a Therapeutic Community interfere in the treatment, as well as to evaluate if the protocol of the Community facilitates the participation and the cooperation between them. For the development of this research, participant observation, bibliographic research and documentary research are used through the records of the Institution reports and the minutes of meetings. Through this research we can understand that power is present throughout the treatment process of a Therapeutic Community, being fundamental for the organization of the Institution in general, in the discipline of the welcome, in the sharing of experiences through the dialogues. The power also collaborates in the search of autonomy on itself, providing changes in the lifestyle of the dependent chemical. In order to be able to develop all this work, the community has its protocol aimed at participation aiming at disciplinary reeducation
